Who's invited and what's involved?
STIPED is a European project that aims at establishing an innovative, effective and safe treatment approach for ADHD and ASD in children and adolescents.
We are interested in recruiting boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 20 years. We also want to recruit children and adolescents that suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or autism spectrum disorder.
Taking part in the study involves interviews with the children and parents, where we talk about how the child feels in school, with friends and during leisure activities. We also want to get an accurate picture of your child’s brain and its activity. For this purpose, we use magnetic resonance tomography (MRI) and encephalography (EEG). During most of the appointments the child will wear a cap that delivers the electrical stimulation and will perform computerised tests of working memory, behavioural control, or social cognition.
If your child would like to take part in this study, contact your local research team to receive more information.
