STIPED non invasive brain stimulation

Who’s invited and what’s involved?

STIPED is a European project that aims at establishing an innovative, effective and safe treatment approach for children and adolescents like you, which suffer from ADHD or ASD.

We are interested in recruiting boys and girls that are between 10 and 20 years old. You can be part of our project, if you’re either healthy or suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or autism spectrum disorder.

Taking part in the study involves interviews with you and your parents, where we talk about how you feel in school, with your friends and during leisure activities. We also want to get an accurate picture of your brain and its activity. For this purpose, we use magnetic resonance tomography (MRI) and encephalography (EEG). During most of the appointments you will wear a cap that delivers the electrical stimulation and you will perform computerised tests of working memory, behavioural control, or social cognition.

If you would like to take part in this study, contact your local research team to receive more information.
